Quantum Board only, kit or complete light: what do you need?
A Quantum Board sold on its own, an LED kit and a complete light are different purchases. The board is an LED component; a kit contains parts intended for assembly; a complete light is sold as a finished fixture. Check the exact parts list and manual before ordering. A board with “Diablo” in its name is not automatically compatible with every Diablo fixture.
Board only: a component, not a plug-in light
The HLG Quantum Boards category includes the Board 65 sold alone and the QB648+ Diablo board. The European Board 65 listing explicitly excludes a power supply, cables and heatsink. Do not infer the contents of another board's box from its title. Supply current, cooling, connectors and mounting must all match the exact HLG reference and intended application.

Kit: verify every supplied part
The European catalogue has an HLG 260 V2 kit with two Rspec boards. “Kit” means an assembly project; it does not establish that driver, heatsink, cabling, suspension and plug are all included. Obtain the current bill of materials and the matching assembly manual, then list anything still needed. A component that looks similar is not a confirmed replacement part.
Electrical assembly and commissioning must follow official documentation and local rules. If you cannot check safety and compatibility yourself, choose a complete fixture or a qualified professional. This is not a wiring tutorial.
Complete fixture: fewer assembly decisions
An HLG 65 V2 or HLG 350 Diablo is listed as a light rather than a board. A complete model gives you a defined fixture and corresponding manual, which is often preferable when you need a straightforward installation. Still verify the European plug, hangers, controls and version actually supplied.
Swipe sideways for the checks.
| Purchase | Known by definition | Check on exact listing |
|---|---|---|
| Board only | Identified LED board | Supply, cooling, wiring, compatibility |
| Kit | Parts for assembly | Bill of materials, manual, missing items |
| Complete light | Fixture sold as an appliance | Plug, hangers, control and delivered version |

The check that avoids a wrong order
Record the listing ID and, for a replacement, the full reference of the existing fixture. Ask HLG or a competent specialist to confirm a match explicitly. Keep that confirmation with the installation records. If the bill of materials is incomplete or generations share a similar name, wait for clarification before ordering the component.

Common questions
Does a QB648+ Diablo fit any Diablo light?
No. A commercial name does not verify connectors, driver or cooling for a given generation.
Is a kit always cheaper?
Compare every required component, assembly time and current listing prices. The kit name alone cannot answer that.
