HLG 750 Diablo, Diablo X and Diablo ES: what is different?
The HLG 750 Diablo, Diablo X and Diablo ES share a similar physical format, but their published spectra and specifications differ. First identify the exact HLG Europe listing, then compare its spectrum, maximum input power, photon output and PPFD map under matching conditions. “750” alone does not identify a generation or tell you how much light reaches the canopy.
Identify the three separate models
HLG Europe has public product pages for the 750 Diablo and 750 Diablo X. The 750 Diablo ES is documented by the manufacturer, but its HLG Europe product page was not publicly accessible when checked on 22 October 2026; confirm availability before ordering. Check the model on the order, the nameplate and the supplied manual before applying data from a similarly named commercial series or refurbished light.

Compare documented specifications
The standard model figures below come from the HLG Europe listing. The X and ES figures are published by the manufacturer HLG; the ES specifications do not establish its current availability at HLG Europe. Confirm the manual and nameplate of the unit delivered.

Table sources, consulted 22 October 2026: HLG Europe 750 Diablo listing, official Diablo X listing and official Diablo ES listing. X and ES dimensions are rounded metric conversions of HLG’s inch values.
Generation warning: HLG Europe specifies 715 W, 2,056 µmol/s and 2.88 µmol/J for its standard 750 Diablo, while a current HLG US page with the same name specifies 730 W, 2,089 µmol/s and 2.86 µmol/J. We use the European listing for product 4452 rather than assuming the US page describes that unit. The “SE spectrum” wording on the ES page also needs clarification; it should not be interpreted by guesswork.
What changes in a grow room?
All three selected descriptions mention four Quantum Boards and integrated reflectors. A modest difference in published PPF does not prove that one light gives higher PPFD everywhere. Spectrum names need the actual spectral curves, and canopy coverage needs maps measured over the same area and at a useful mounting height. Compare the average, edges and minimum rather than just the central reading.

How to decide
Sketch the cultivated area, available mounting height and fixture positions. If a particular version is required, ask for the manual corresponding to the European stock and confirm spectrum, electrical input and dimming before ordering. Price and availability belong on the live product listings, not in a fixed comparison.

Common questions
Is the ES necessarily more efficient than the standard Diablo?
The selected listings state 2.86 µmol/J for ES and 2.88 µmol/J for the European standard model. That difference cannot predict crop yield; model generation, spectrum and delivered light still need checking.
Can two PPF values simply be added to predict PPFD?
Emitted PPF can be added at the stated operating powers, but canopy PPFD depends on placement, overlap and the room. Measure or model the complete layout.
